Cole Clark 'Angel' AN2EC Bunya / Blackwood Acoustic Electric Guitar

Customer Reviews

Based on 4 reviews Write a review

The Cole Clark 'Angel' AN2EC Bunya / Blackwood is a superb acoustic-electric guitar from the 2 series of the Angel model. It features an all-Australian solid Bunya top, solid Blackwood back and sides, and a blackbean fingerboard. The guitar is equipped with the new 3-way pickup system, a cutaway design, and comes with a Cole Clark tweed case.

One notable feature of all Cole Clark guitars, including the AN2EC-Bunya Blackwood, is that they have undergone the PLEK process. The PLEK machines, developed by A+D Gitarrentechnologie of Berlin, Germany, ensure optimal string action for each instrument. This process eliminates any intonation issues caused by low string action and guarantees improved playability and sound quality.

The AN2EC-Bunya Blackwood is a grand auditorium cutaway guitar with an internally carved top and back, delivering a balanced and resonant tone. The Cole Clark 3-way pickup system offers versatile amplified sound options, making it suitable for various playing styles and genres.

The guitar features a nitrocellulose finish in a natural satin sheen, allowing the tonewoods to breathe and resonate freely. The neck is made of Queensland Maple, providing stability and a comfortable playing experience.

The solid Bunya top produces a warm and rich sound, while the solid Blackwood back and sides contribute to the guitar's overall tonal balance and projection. The AN2EC-Bunya Blackwood also features inlaid timber binding and a rosette, enhancing its visual appeal.

The She Oak bridge and fretboard add to the guitar's tonal characteristics, while the snowflake inlays on the fretboard provide a touch of elegance.

The AN2EC-Bunya Blackwood is equipped with Grover machine heads for precise tuning and stability. The Graph Tech Tusq nut and saddle enhance the guitar's sustain and tonal consistency. It comes strung with Phosphor Bronze strings in a 12-53 gauge.

Included with the guitar is a Cole Clark tweed case for protection and transportation. Additionally, a pickguard is supplied in the case.

With its solid construction, versatile electronics, and superb craftsmanship, the Cole Clark 'Angel' AN2EC Bunya / Blackwood is an excellent choice for musicians seeking a high-quality acoustic-electric guitar with a full and rich sound.

All of our Cole Clarks have been PLEKed!

PLEK machines are built and sold by A+D Gitarrentechnologie of Berlin, Germany. The machines were developed by musician and guitar instructor Gerd Anke with his partner Michael Dubach, who called their company PLEKTRON when it was founded in 1990. The goal of the PLEK process they created is to guarantee the best possible string action for each instrument. Simply put, a guitar with optimized playability sounds better. The strings do not strike the frets during playing and any intonation problems that may occur due to too-low string action are eliminated. Similarly, action that’s too high is also a thing of the past with PLEKing.

The PLEKing process is done by CNC (computer numerical control) machines, which use microprocessors to perform their tasks. That doesn’t mean human craftspeople are excluded from this process. The PLEK machine is ultimately a tool to reduce variances between guitars, which allows Cole Clarks expert builders to do their jobs more efficiently.
