Our last night in Pennsylvania was something very special when we were joined for dinner by CF Martin IV himself. The current Chairman & CEO of Martin guitars, CF IV is the great-great-great grandson of original founder, Christian Frederick Martin. To think that this company has been handed down five times and continuously family owned and operated for 181 years is simply extraordinary. CF IV not only took the time out to have dinner with us but he also personally signed and presented us with a book on the history of the American guitar. Magic.

This original 1969 Martin D-35 is not only an incredible sounding guitar, it is also a fascinating piece of history. 1969 was the year that Martin moved from Brazilian Rosewood to Indian Rosewood and this guitar is living proof of that transition. Built with genuine Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, this rare piece also features a middle wedge of Indian Rosewood on the back.
