IN STOCK...EXQUISITE MARTIN CUSTOM SHOP DREADNOUGHT
Personally designed by an AC staff member in the Martin Custom Shop in Pennsylvania last year, this completely one-off custom dreadnought was built with tone in mind.
Specs include an Adirondack Spruce top with Adirondack bracing and hot hide glue construction throughout. The back and sides are 300 year-old Sinker Mahogany from Belize with a middle back wedge of Quilted Mahogany.
The D-35 style three-piece back brings a tight and present bass response while Golden Era style forward shifted scalloped bracing creates a rich, 'open' sounding guitar with tremendous volume. Simply put this guitar needs to be heard to be believed.
$11,250 or rent to own for $164 per week. http://www.acousticcentre.com.au/products/martin-custom-shop-dreadnought-1
Our customer of the day Is Frank Murdoch. He and his band, Stokavski have moved to Melbourne to blow some minds. They are a Trad-Balkan-Punk-Roots extravaganza. He needed a guitar to add to the big 5 piece sound and bought a wonderful gig ready Alvarez. Their first Melbourne gig is at Bar Open on April the 7th. So if you love crazy Balkan music you know where to be. Knock 'em dead Frank!
Say hello to our newest Lowden arrival. This gorgeous Cedar/Rosewood S-25 just landed from Ireland this morning. A dream to play and rich in harmonic overtones, this guitar has all the hallmarks of a classic Lowden small-body acoustic. Another dream guitar! $5,495.
