Taylor 614ce V-Class 'Builders Edition' Acoustic Electric Guitar

Taylor design guru Andy Powers conceived the Builder’s Edition collection to deliver a next-level, player-centric experience in both feel and sound. Each model in this family is the equivalent of his director’s cut version of its standard model counterpart, boasting premium woodworking details that refine the playing comfort on both the body and neck. The Builder’s Edition 614ce features Taylors popular Grand Auditorium body, a torrefied Sitka spruce top, back and sides of figured Big Leaf maple, and Taylors patented V-Class bracing. That combination yields an ultra-responsive, player-reflective sound, elevating maple’s natural transparency in a way that can sound warm, bright or whatever a player’s hands decide. The V-Class architecture improves the volume, sustain and projection, and creates more harmonic agreement between notes by putting the top more in tune with the strings. The  proprietary roasting process for the Sitka spruce top lowers the damping effect and helps deliver a more played-in tone. Ergonomic body details (exclusive to Builder’s Edition) include a beveled armrest with beveled body edge treatment; a double-carved cutaway that allows fluid access to the higher frets without the need to change one’s hand position; and the new Silent Satin finish, which reduces contact noise for a cleaner overall sound. Gold Gotoh 510 tuners (featuring a 21:1 gear ratio) complete the suite of tactile delights. Striking aesthetic details include Taylors mother-of-pearl Sceptor fretboard/peghead inlay, and inset maple/black body purfling with matching rosette. The guitar comes equipped with our ES2 electronics and ships in a deluxe hardshell case.

Acoustic Centre offers free Australia-wide shipping on all orders over $50 in our store. Items purchased using the Studio 19 Rental Program do not qualify for free freight, and we will contact you to arrange the payment of any shipping costs incurred. 

Occasionally due to issues with delivering to remote or unusual destinations, we aren't able to offer free postage, so we do reserve the right to retract the offer if freight costs exceed 15% of your purchase. We will always notify you if there is an issue and offer a full refund or arrange alternative delivery options.

All strings and accessories will be shipped using Australia Express Post with tracking. Other items including guitars and amplification equipment will be shipped using our courier service providers, with a tracking number and signature on delivery. Deliveries to most major capital cities are usually within 2 - 4 business days, and regional areas and WA deliveries are usually within 8 working days.

The Acoustic Centre is located at 206 Park St. South Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. We ship daily at 2pm (Monday to Friday) excluding Victorian public holidays. You are welcome to pick your order up instore, but we will require photo identification to ensure against fraud.
