COLLINGS SJ SOUTHERN JUMBO
The SJ is our version of what is commonly called a small Jumbo. Although the 16 inch lower bout is slightly wider than a dreadnought, and the sides almost as deep, the tight curve at the waist creates in a very different sound chamber. SJs, especially examples in maple, typically have a more pronounced midrange response when compared to a dreadnought, making them ideal candidates for a rounded cutaway. Players looking for the bass and overall volume of a large guitar, but with lots of treble clarity and midrange crunch, often find just what they need in the curvaceous SJ. This model comes with a stunning Spruce/European maple timber combination, pre-war scalloped bracing, high gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish, ebony fingerboard with ebony SJ style bridge and mother of pearl Modern Diamond fretboard inlays, and Gold Schaller mini-tuners with 1:14 ratio This fine instrument comes with a Collings deluxe hardshell case by TKL.
This one is a little bit special. Personally spec'd out by the Australian Martin product manager, it looks fantastic and sounds like a cannon. With all the advantages of the 12 fret dreadnought sound without the re-stringing hassels of the slotted headstock, this guitar is equally at home being flatpicked, fingerpicked or strummed. It sounds very special with it's Carpathian Spruce soundboard, quilted Mahogany body, and black ebony fretboard and bridge. This guitar is very unique as it's a one off custom build. Comes complete with a Martin gebe style hard case.

The Tony Rice Signature Model represents over 30 years of collaboration between the world’s foremost flatpicking icon and SCGC’s founding luthier, Richard Hoover. Today’s model incorporates decades of refinement in response to players’ demands and the sophisticated evolution of the master’s technique. Never intended to be a copy of Mr. Rice’s iconic 1935 Martin D-28, the TR Model is voiced to showcase his stellar lead work with influences from Clarence White to John Coltrane. This guitar delivers exactly what the contemporary flatpicking artist needs: substantial treble and midrange for rapid single-line lead, clean note separation for definition and the traditional bass boom without the woofy bottom end of some of the venerable Pre-war dreadnoughts. Master grade Indian Rosewood and old Sitka Spruce give this instrument a professional presence at an attainable price.
This amazing guitar is only around six months old and in as new condition, representing a great saving. Comes in a deluxe Santa cruz case.
