dreadnought-junior-1516-acoustic-wpick-up
Martin DJr-E Dreadnought Junior Acoustic Electric Guitar

The Martin Dreadnought Junior is one of the most practically conceived and genuinely useful acoustic-electrics in the Martin range, a scaled-down dreadnought built at approximately 15/16 of the full Martin dreadnought dimension that delivers the fundamental Martin dreadnought character in a body format that is significantly more comfortable, portable, and accessible than the full-size original. At 24" scale length and with a Dreadnought Junior neck profile with high-performance taper, the DJr-E is as comfortable in the hands of a smaller-framed player or younger guitarist as it is as a travel companion or rehearsal instrument for an experienced performer who wants the big dreadnought voice without the full dreadnought body.

The all-sapele construction (sapele top, back, and sides in a rich satin finish) produces a warm, focused, and naturally resonant acoustic voice with a pleasing mid-forward character that sits beautifully in a mix. Scalloped X-bracing enhances resonance and tonal response, while the FSC-certified Richlite fingerboard and bridge deliver the look and feel of ebony with exceptional consistency and sustainability credentials. Fishman Sonitone electronics make the DJr-E stage and rehearsal ready out of the box. Select hardwood neck with Dreadnought Junior profile, white Corian nut, 20 frets, Style 28 white Boltaron dot inlays, chrome enclosed gear tuners, black binding, tortoiseshell pickguard, and soft gig bag complete a thoughtful and well-executed specification for the player who wants Martin quality and character in the most versatile and portable format the company offers.

Features

Approximately 15/16 scale dreadnought body with 24" scale length and Dreadnought Junior neck profile delivers the fundamental Martin dreadnought voice in a more comfortable, portable, and accessible format suited to a wide range of players and applications.

All-sapele construction (top, back, and sides in satin finish) produces a warm, focused, and naturally resonant acoustic voice with a pleasing mid-forward character well-suited to both fingerstyle and strumming.

Scalloped X-bracing enhances resonance and tonal response, contributing to the DJr-E’s naturally open and projecting acoustic character despite its compact dimensions.

Fishman Sonitone electronics provide reliable, natural amplified acoustic tone for stage and rehearsal use straight from the factory.

FSC-certified Richlite fingerboard and bridge, 1-3/4" white Corian nut, 20 frets, and Style 28 dot inlays deliver a clean, comfortable playing experience with Martin’s characteristic quality and attention to detail.

Specs

Body: D Junior-14 fret (000 depth)

Top: Sapele, satin

Back & sides: Sapele, satin

Bracing: Scalloped X-brace

Neck: Select hardwood, Dreadnought Junior profile, high-performance taper, hand-rubbed finish

Fingerboard: FSC-certified Richlite

Fingerboard inlays: Style 28 white Boltaron dots

Fingerboard width at nut: 1-3/4"

Fingerboard width at 12th fret: 2-1/8"

Bridge: FSC-certified Richlite, Junior style belly

Bridge string spacing: 2-5/32"

Bridge pins: White plastic with black dots

Nut: White Corian

Scale length: 24"

Total frets: 20

Neck joins body at: 14th fret

Construction: Mortise and tenon neck joint

Rosette: Mother-of-pearl pattern with multi-stripe

Top inlay: Multi-stripe

Binding: Black

Pickguard: Tortoiseshell

Tuners: Chrome enclosed gear

Electronics: Fishman Sonitone

Includes: Soft gig bag

Made in: Mexico

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0367/8045/files/0H3A1172_2000x-Recovered_258d258f-b4eb-48b8-823c-3c4b070e1e2f.png?v=1792719192
