From its inaugural appearance in 1937, Gibson’s SJ-200 set a standard others have been trying to match ever since. Today, the legacy of Gibson’s “King of the Flat-tops” lives on in the new SJ-200 Standard. Upon its introduction in the late 1930s, the SJ-200 immediately filled a need for a deeper, more balanced, and powerful sound. It gave purveyors of the new American music scene of the 1930s a reliable, well-built instrument, capable of projecting the sound of the guitar well beyond that of any other acoustic on the market—a fact that still holds true today. It is simply one of the world’s most famous acoustic guitars, and certainly one of the most popular.
This 2019 model is in great condition, with only minor playwear and lacquer wear. The action is low and fast, and it has the classic jumbo tone - deep, rich and authoritative. Includes original hardshell case and onboard LR Baggs Element pickup system.
Acoustic Centre offers free shipping on all new items to most locations within Australia on all orders over $99, excluding Western Australia, Northern Territory and Far North Queensland. Used items have a flat rate shipping fee of $59 within our usual shipping locations. We also offer competitive Express shipping options at checkout.
Customers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory and Far North Queensland recieve free shipping on all accessory orders over $99, but will incur a flat rate instrument or large item shipping charge of $179 (or $299 for Express shipping).
Occasionally due to issues with delivering to remote or unusual destinations, we aren't able to offer free postage. We reserve the right to retract the offer if freight costs exceed 15% of your purchase. We will always notify you if there is an issue and offer a full refund or arrange alternative delivery options.
All strings and accessories will be shipped with tracking via courier or Australia Post. Other items including guitars and amplification equipment will be shipped using our courier service providers, with a tracking number and signature on delivery.
