Introduced in 1912, the L-4 was Gibson's top-of-the line guitar, and remains its longest lasting model, still in production to this day as a cutaway electric. The L-4 was produced with a round hole exclusively until 1935, when it was offered with optional f-holes. This 1929 version features an elegantly appointed round soundhole, and 12 frets to the body, giving a more 'acoustic' tone than it's later F-hole equivalents.
This 1939 instrument is featherweight, and has vintage vibe in spades - it has all the woody, sweet tone that these old Gibsons are known for and is in excellent condition for its age. Includes original pickguard in case (in need of repair if you wish to reattach it), and original Gibson hardshell case (which has seen better days but still works for it's intended purpose).
