The O was the first Lowden shape by George Lowden and has remained in their selection of styles since 1976. The ‘O’ has been likened to a ‘Jumbo’ style guitar. While at first glance this may seem accurate, the ‘O’, like all Lowdens, has a unique design and voice of its own. The soundbox geometry and the voicing of the bracing are both designed to increase treble response, which balances the natural bass-heavy tonal characteristics of such large-bodied guitars.
This wonderful O-35 features the classic Lowden tonal pairing of Western Red Cedar and East Indian Rosewood, making it a wonderfully versatile and responsive instrument. It works beautifully for fingerpicking and strumming, with a dynamic, throaty and powerful tone - a fantastic songwriter's guitar! This 1999-built guitar is in great condition for its age, with light playwear throughout and noticeable fading on the rosewood back-and-sides, but no cracks or issues whatsoever. Lowden produced some really incredible guitars throughout the 90's, and this is a killer example. Includes original Hiscox hardshell case.

Occasionally due to issues with delivering to remote or unusual destinations, we aren't able to offer free postage. We reserve the right to retract the offer if freight costs exceed 15% of your purchase. We will always notify you if there is an issue and offer a full refund or arrange alternative delivery options.
All strings and accessories will be shipped with tracking via courier or Australia Post. Other items including guitars and amplification equipment will be shipped using our courier service providers, with a tracking number and signature on delivery.
