Maton 70th Anniversary Dreadnought Guitar

Maton  70th Anniversary Dreadnought Acoustic guitar

The  Maton  70TH anniversary model Dreadnought combines some of the classic features that have put Maton Guitars on the World stage. AAA Grade Solid Sitka Spruce Top finished in gloss, Satin finished Solid Blackwood back and sides, Blackwood neck and Rosewood fretboard. Gloss Rosewood keyhole headstock veneer with gold tuners, Herringbone and Rosewood rosette and binding, this is a serious timber combination that delivers a guitar for the serious player and an aesthetic masterpiece for the collector.

The Blackwood is sourced responsibly from the Otway Ranges in Victoria, Australia. It has a warm, full tone with a particularly pleasing mid frequency response and has become one of Maton's most sought after timbers. The Blackwood for the 70th Anniversary series guitars has been hand selected for its beauty and strength. The Blackwood used on the back and sides of this guitar as well as in the neck delivers a tone that is rich and full with definition right across the audio spectrum. The Sitka Spruce top, a timber that has become the benchmark against which all other timbers are measured, is finished in gloss whilst the Blackwood back and sides are done in Satin. The tonal result of this combination is the full, natural tone associated with Maton’s satin finish and a sophisticated top end associated with full gloss models.

This guitar produces an even balanced tone and with plenty of projection, whilst also creating warm lows and mids, balanced and responsive, the Maton 70th Anniversary Dreadnought is destined to be a collectors piece.
