The latest edition to the Maton range is this all solid Australian blackwood series guitar. This great timber combination has a rich, warm and punchy tone while still retaining excellent string separation. Blackwood grows throughout Tasmania and the Otway ranges in Victoria, it is a sought after timber by guitar builders world wide. Closely related to Koa, Blackwoods beautiful definition and rich overtones have made it one of the great modern tone woods. The all Blackwood construction produces a unique tonal compression, blending frequencies into a new, unique voice that has before now only been available from Custom built Koa guitars.
An streaky Ebony fretboard and bridge are also featured on the Blackwood series guitars. Ebony is arguably the finest of fretboard woods due to its glassy definition whilst still maintaing superb low end definition. It is one of the hardest wearing timbers oon Earth and will see you through a lifetime of playing.
It looks fantastic with beautiful caramel tones and excellent figure. Combine this with "mini rope" binding and rosette and you have one beautiful looking guitar. Superb feel and easy to play neck profile, Maton have once again lifted the bar.
