pioneer-cedar-mahogany-lr-baggs-eas-vtc
Furch Pioneer-CMe a 'Western Red Cedar / African Mahogany' 'Natural' Travel Acoustic Electric Guitar

The Furch Pioneer-CM a is an all-solid travel acoustic guitar that proves compact instruments don’t have to compromise on tone. A solid Western red cedar top paired with solid African mahogany back and sides gives this short-scale guitar a warm, responsive voice with rich overtones, excellent balance, and impressive projection for its size - offering the depth and nuance serious players expect from a full-scale instrument. Cedar’s characteristic warmth and immediate responsiveness makes it a particularly well-matched choice for the Pioneer’s shorter scale length, delivering a naturally open and musically engaging acoustic voice that rewards light touch and expressive playing technique with equal sensitivity.

Built with Furch’s most advanced technologies, the Pioneer-CM a benefits from an individually voiced solid cedar soundboard, the Booster Soundport resonator for enhanced projection and player monitoring, and the CNR System Active neck design that automatically adjusts string action in response to humidity and temperature changes - the combination of features that makes this the most sophisticated travel acoustic guitar available at any price point. The LR Baggs EAS-VTC (Enhanced Acoustic System with Volume, Tone, and Clarity controls) adds discreet, natural acoustic-electric capability ideally suited to the Pioneer’s performing ambitions - a side-mounted active system with passive-sounding character that captures the cedar top’s warmth and the mahogany body’s natural resonance with minimal coloration, making this as capable on stage as it is in the living room or on the road. Black TUSQ nut and saddle, ebony fingerboard and bridge, Furch Chrome 1:18 tuners, anti-scratch transparent pickguard, open-pore finish, and high-protection gig bag complete a travel guitar specification of genuinely world-class ambition.

Features

All-solid short-scale travel guitar with individually voiced Western red cedar top delivers rich, warm, and dynamically responsive acoustic tone in a compact package - the depth and nuance of a full-scale instrument without the bulk.

Solid African mahogany back and sides contribute clarity, punch, and natural resonance to the cedar top’s warmth, producing a balanced and musically versatile acoustic voice ideally suited to fingerstyle, songwriting, and expressive playing.

LR Baggs EAS-VTC side-mounted active pickup system delivers natural, transparent acoustic-electric tone with volume, tone, and clarity controls - capturing the Pioneer’s warm cedar voice with minimal coloration for stage and recording use.

Booster Soundport increases projection and improves player monitoring on stage or at home, while the CNR System Active neck design automatically regulates string action for consistent playability regardless of environmental changes.

Open-pore finish throughout, ebony fingerboard and bridge, Furch Chrome 1:18 tuners, and high-protection gig bag reflect the Pioneer’s specification as a genuinely world-class travel acoustic-electric for the serious working musician.

Specs

Body: Pioneer cutaway

Top: Solid Western red cedar, grade A, individually voiced

Back & sides: Solid African mahogany, grade AA

Booster Soundport: Included

Neck: African mahogany, Furch Soft V profile

Neck system: CNR System Active with automatic string action regulation

Fingerboard: Ebony, 400mm radius

Bridge: Ebony

Nut: Black TUSQ, 45mm (43mm optional)

Saddle: Black TUSQ, fully compensated

Bridge string spacing: 55mm

Scale length: 615mm

Tuners: Furch Chrome, 1:18 gear ratio

Pickguard: Anti-scratch transparent

Finish: Open-pore

Electronics: LR Baggs EAS-VTC (side-mounted active system, volume/tone/clarity controls)

Strings: D’Addario XS Phosphor Bronze 12-53

Includes: High-protection gig bag

Made in: Czech Republic
