This Japanese-built reissue of the famous 1962 Gretsch Country Classic (also known as the Country Gentleman) is a beautifully-made example of the original with some small differences that make it more player-focused, with all the wonderful Gretsch twang of the originals.Details such as the simulated F-holes and Filter-tron pickups have been reproduced with fantastic attention to detail. At that time, the name was changed to Country Classic instead of Country Gentleman because Chet Atkins' contract had expired, and Country Gentleman was named after a Chet Atkins song.
This 2003-built guitar is in well-used but good condition, with general playwear and great patina on the gold hardware. The original pickguard and bracket is missing, but it's otherwise all-original. It sounds fantastic, with all the clasic Gretsch twang and sparkle you could ever want! The action is low and fast, and the tuning stability is great. A killer Gretsch guitar at a really surprising price. Includes (very well-travelled) original hardshell case.

Occasionally due to issues with delivering to remote or unusual destinations, we aren't able to offer free postage. We reserve the right to retract the offer if freight costs exceed 15% of your purchase. We will always notify you if there is an issue and offer a full refund or arrange alternative delivery options.
All strings and accessories will be shipped with tracking via courier or Australia Post. Other items including guitars and amplification equipment will be shipped using our courier service providers, with a tracking number and signature on delivery.
