vintage-1-d-sr-spruce-rosewood-a
Furch Vintage 1 D-SR a ‘Natural’ Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar

The Furch Vintage 1 D-SR is the entry point into Furch’s beautifully considered Vintage Series - a dreadnought that delivers the timeless character of traditional early 20th-century guitar design in a package that combines period-correct aesthetic appointments with Furch’s most advanced structural and tonal engineering. The individually voiced AA Sitka spruce top and AA Indian rosewood back and sides produce the well-balanced, articulate acoustic voice that has made this tonewood pairing the benchmark of fine dreadnought construction for over a century - clear highs, full-bodied lows, and rich overtones with a natural tonal balance that suits strumming, flatpicking, and fingerstyle playing with equal authority.

Introduced in Furch’s 45th anniversary year, the Heritage logo on the flat vintage-style headstock pays tribute to Furch’s historic headstock designs and reinforces the authentic aesthetic of early 20th-century instruments, while the Full-Pore Vintage Finish with hand-brushed look evokes the natural patina and tactile character of a traditionally finished vintage guitar without sacrificing the resonance-enhancing properties that Furch’s UV-polymerised finishing process delivers. Artificial ivory binding, double-ring rosette with black walnut inlay, artificial tortoise pickguard, polished ebony fingerboard with white pearl dot inlays, ebony headstock overlay, ebony bridge with ebony pins, TUSQ fully compensated saddle, and Furch Vintage machine heads at 1:15 gear ratio complete a vintage specification of genuine coherence and considered aesthetic restraint. The CNR System Active neck joint automatically adjusts neck angle to maintain consistent string action across humidity changes, minimising the need for costly neck resets over the guitar’s lifetime.

Features

AA Sitka spruce top with individual soundboard voicing paired with AA Indian rosewood back and sides delivers the well-balanced, articulate dreadnought voice with clear highs, full-bodied lows, and rich overtones that has made this tonewood combination the benchmark of fine acoustic guitar construction for over a century.

Full-Pore Vintage Finish with hand-brushed look evokes the natural patina and tactile character of a traditionally finished vintage instrument - a UV-polymerised finish that allows the tonewoods to resonate freely while presenting with the understated warmth of an aged guitar.

Furch Heritage logo on flat vintage-style headstock - introduced in Furch’s 45th anniversary year - pays tribute to historic Furch headstock designs and reinforces the Vintage 1’s authentic early 20th-century aesthetic.

CNR System Active neck joint automatically adjusts neck angle in response to humidity changes, maintaining consistent string action and minimising the need for neck resets - a key practical advantage for the life of the instrument.

Artificial ivory binding, double-ring rosette with black walnut inlay, ebony fingerboard, ebony bridge, ebony pins, and Furch Vintage machine heads at 1:15 gear ratio reflect a period-correct vintage appointment package of genuine coherence and considered aesthetic restraint.

Specs

Body: Dreadnought, 14-fret

Top: AA Sitka spruce, individually voiced

Back & sides: AA Indian rosewood

Binding: Artificial ivory

Rosette: Double ring with black walnut inlay

Bridge: Ebony

Bridge pins: Ebony

Saddle: TUSQ, fully compensated

Bridge string spacing: 55mm

Top finish: Full-Pore Vintage Finish (hand-brushed look)

Back & sides finish: Full-Pore Vintage Finish

Pickguard: Artificial tortoise

Neck: African mahogany, Furch Soft V profile

Neck reinforcement: Carbon-reinforced dual-action truss rod

Neck joint: CNR System Active with automatic string action regulation

Neck finish: Full-Pore Smooth-Slide Satin

Fingerboard: Ebony, 400mm (15-3/4") radius

Fingerboard inlays: White pearl position dots (front and side)

Headstock overlay: Ebony

Headstock inlay: Furch Heritage Logo

Headstock finish: Full-Pore Vintage Finish

Scale length: 650mm

Nut: TUSQ, 45mm (43mm and 48mm available)

String spacing at nut (45mm): 38mm

Machine heads: Furch Vintage, 1:15 gear ratio

Strings: D’Addario XS Bronze 12-53

Electronics: None (optional LR Baggs pickups available)

Includes: High-protection gig bag

Made in: Czech Republic

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0367/8045/files/0H3A9550_7e1bd2d3-c0b0-4a44-ab7e-b0c1a5ec58cc.jpg?v=1792116496
