Gibson Les Paul Classic 'Ebony' Electric Guitar

The Gibson Les Paul Classic takes the timeless early '60s Les Paul model and adds some modern enhancements for a guitar that's both iconic and versatile. Crafted with a mahogany back and maple top, it features the classic tonewood combination that has powered countless rock anthems. The SlimTaper mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard provide a comfortable and responsive playing experience. Equipped with 60s Burstbucker zebra, open-coil pickups, this Les Paul Classic delivers the classic Gibson tones of that era with an extra punch, courtesy of the open coils. The control assembly boasts four push-pull pots, offering options for coil tapping, phase switching, and pure bypassing, providing a wide range of sonic possibilities.

When you strap on the Gibson Les Paul Classic, you'll instantly connect with iconic tones and uncompromising playability. This guitar features the legendary combination of maple and mahogany, delivering the powerful and dynamic tone that has fueled rock music for generations. The 60s Burstbucker pickups inject your playing with rich midrange muscle and sizzling overtones. With coil tapping, phase reversal, and pure bypass options, you can explore a limitless array of tonal textures. And in terms of comfort, this LP guitar feels as fantastic as it sounds, thanks to the SlimTaper neck and easy-playing rosewood fingerboard. The Les Paul Classic is equipped with a self-lubricating Graph Tech nut, Tune-o-matic bridge, vintage-style Grover Rotomatic tuners, and gold top hat knobs.

There's a magic that happens when Gibson pairs mahogany and maple for the Les Paul. The mahogany back provides warmth and sustain, beautifully translated through the humbucking pickups. The maple top brings brightness to the table, complementing the mahogany's warmth. Together, these tonewoods create the recipe for the iconic tone that has defined rock 'n' roll for decades.

Gibson has taken a special approach with the Les Paul Classic, incorporating their 9-hole weight relief design. This design retains the resonance and chime of vintage Les Pauls while significantly reducing the guitar's weight. The lighter weight of the Gibson Les Paul Classic ensures you can enjoy those long, energetic performances without the discomfort that heavy guitars can sometimes bring.

When it comes to capturing that classic Gibson tone, the 60s Burstbucker pickups on the Les Paul Classic are second to none. These pickups are expertly designed to faithfully recreate the sound of original PAF humbuckers, offering a tight low end, complex midrange, and sweet highs. If you desire the tried-and-true Gibson Les Paul Classic tone, this guitar is your ticket. Plus, the Les Paul Classic offers more tonal flexibility than ever, with coil tapping, phase reversal, and pure-bypass electronics, all accessible through push-pull knobs.
