The Gibson Custom Shop J-45 Custom Special Rosewood is a very rare Japanese-only limited Custom Shop model that offers a new twist on the classic American workhorse, with premium Indian rosewood sides and back and custom embellishments. Departing from the boomy midrange of mahogany, this guitar offers a punchier tone with slightly more emphasis on highs and mids, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of playing styles.
Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the Gibson Custom Shop J-45 Custom Special Rosewood features premium appointments that enhance both its aesthetics and playability. The guitar boasts a floral abalone headstock inlay, bound rosewood fingerboard and bridge, herringbone inner binding, and an abalone rosette, adding a touch of elegance to its appearance.
At its core, the J-45 Custom Special Rosewood features an AA Sitka spruce top paired with premium Indian rosewood sides and back, delivering a rich, resonant tone with deep bass response and crisp highs. The guitar also features a solid one-piece mahogany neck, scalloped bracing, Gold Grover tuners, and an L.R. Baggs Element pickup system, ensuring excellent sound quality both unplugged and amplified.
Originally exported to the Japanese market and subjected to rigorous quality checks by Yamano Music, this limited Custom Shop model meets the highest standards of craftsmanship and performance. Equipped with an L.R. Baggs LYRIC PU, gorgeous Avalon headstock inlays and rosette, herringbone binding, and gold hardware, the Gibson Custom Shop J-45 Custom Special Rosewood offers a perfect balance of profound depth and crisp sound, making it an ideal choice for discerning guitarists.
This 2017-built model is in superb condition, with minimal playwear and wonderful playability, with the fantastic build quality that you'd expect from a Japanese-market Gibson Custom Shop guitar - a rare and very impressive slope shoulder Gibson! Includes original hardshell case and all case candy.
Acoustic Centre offers free shipping on all new items to most locations within Australia on all orders over $99, excluding Western Australia, Northern Territory and Far North Queensland. Used items have a flat rate shipping fee of $59 within our usual shipping locations. We also offer competitive Express shipping options at checkout.
Customers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory and Far North Queensland recieve free shipping on all accessory orders over $99, but will incur a flat rate instrument or large item shipping charge of $179 (or $299 for Express shipping).
Occasionally due to issues with delivering to remote or unusual destinations, we aren't able to offer free postage. We reserve the right to retract the offer if freight costs exceed 15% of your purchase. We will always notify you if there is an issue and offer a full refund or arrange alternative delivery options.
All strings and accessories will be shipped with tracking via courier or Australia Post. Other items including guitars and amplification equipment will be shipped using our courier service providers, with a tracking number and signature on delivery.
