This is the cutaway version of National’s now discontinued Radio Tone acoustic, otherwise known as the “Radio-Tone Bendaway”. The laminate maple construction of the National ResoPhonic Radio Tone appealed to many buyers for its ability to have a wide variety of sounds. The cutaway or “Bendaway” was added as many slide players want to be able to hit the octave in open tunings without effort.
The wood (maple laminate) bodied guitars from National have always provided a certain warmth and response that you simply cannot get from a metal-bodied guitar. The bass response is always present, the midrange has gorgeous growl when played with slide, and the trebles will round and full. Slide players will enjoy the upper access that the cutaway provides, while not sacrificing any of the tone that National’s provide. This pre-owned 2008 model is in fairly good condition with the only alteration being a removed pickup system at some stage, leaving just a unused side-jack hole.
Comes with a National Hard Case.View full product details

Gibson introduced a new Epiphone model in 1963 called the FT-90 El Dorado as a counterpart to its short scale Gibson branded Hummingbird. The El Dorado featured square shoulders, a long 25 1/2″ scale length, Mahogany back and sides, and a big but thin faux tortoise shell pickguard. The resulting guitar was a big booming strummer that held its own in a live band setting. That big pickguard really brought some attention too.
This guitar has been well played but in pretty good condition for it's age, (circa 1964) with one split on the back which has been professionally repaired. This guitar has that great woody tone and mid range that those Kalamazoo guitars are famous for but with the added volume and punch of the longer scale length. A great sounding vintage guitar with oodles of mojo to boot.
