Available at Acoustic Centre Melbourne

Experience the timeless allure and unparalleled craftsmanship of the Martin D-28 1937 Authentic from the Authentic Series. Revered as one of the most coveted vintage D-28 models, the 1937 Authentic faithfully recreates the iconic features that made its predecessor legendary, with modern refinements to enhance its authenticity.

Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this guitar features forward-shifted hand-scalloped X-bracing, a hallmark of vintage D-28s, along with a 1 3/4" neck width for comfortable playability. The body is constructed with Guatemalan rosewood back and sides, paired with an Adirondack spruce top treated using Martin’s VINTAGE TONE SYSTEM® (VTS) aging process. This proprietary technique captures the rich tone of the 1930s era, ensuring that the D-28 Authentic 1937 VTS delivers the distinctive sound and aesthetics of a vintage instrument.

Renowned for its rich, powerful projection, the D-28 Authentic 1937 VTS is affectionately known as the "tone cannon." Its deep bass response and high-end presence make it ideal for stage and studio use, offering a dynamic range that responds effortlessly to your playing style. Whether you're flatpicking or fingerpicking, this instrument reflects every nuance of your technique with clarity and precision.

At the heart of the D-28 Authentic 1937 VTS is its exceptional tonewood selection. The solid Adirondack spruce top delivers remarkable projection and note clarity, while the solid Guatemalan rosewood back and sides add warmth and depth to its sound. Paired with a solid mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard, this guitar offers exceptional playability and comfort, ensuring a sublime playing experience.

With Martin’s Vintage Tone System (VTS), the D-28 Authentic 1937 achieves the sound of an aged and played-in instrument, capturing the essence of Martin's golden era. This proprietary torrefaction process allows Martin to age the woods to a specific period without altering their color, resulting in a guitar that looks, plays, and sounds like a lovingly cared for vintage instrument.

Indulge in the legacy of Martin dreadnoughts with the D-28 Authentic 1937 VTS. From its resonant warm tones to its quality craftsmanship, this guitar embodies the essence of Martin's iconic sound. With subtle spec refinements and impeccable performance, it offers the ultimate D-28 playing experience at a fraction of the price of an original golden-era model. Don't miss your chance to own this exquisite instrument and experience the true essence of Martin's golden era.
