Experience a piece of musical history with this exceptional 1948 Gibson ES-150 archtop electric guitar. This iconic instrument holds a special place in Gibson's heritage as one of the early successes in the Electric Spanish (ES) series. Although production of the ES-150 commenced in 1936, it was temporarily halted during World War II and then reintroduced in 1946 with several design improvements, including the incorporation of a P-90 pickup in place of the original "Charlie Christian" pickup.
The Gibson ES-150, with its 16 1/4" wide body and single-coil pickup, was a favored choice among jazz and big band musicians of its era. After a brief hiatus during WWII, the ES-150 returned with a slightly larger 17" wide body and the introduction of the iconic P-90 pickup. Production continued into the early 1950s, eventually ending in 1956 as musical styles evolved. This 1948 Gibson ES-150, now nearly 76 years old, has maintained its remarkable original condition, a testament to its enduring quality. With a non-original case, flawless condition, and set up with flat-wound strings, it plays beautifully, offering you the opportunity to own a vintage gem that has stood the test of time.

Customers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory and Far North Queensland recieve free shipping on all accessory orders over $99, but will incur a flat rate instrument or large item shipping charge of $179 (or $299 for Express shipping).
Occasionally due to issues with delivering to remote or unusual destinations, we aren't able to offer free postage. We reserve the right to retract the offer if freight costs exceed 15% of your purchase. We will always notify you if there is an issue and offer a full refund or arrange alternative delivery options.
All strings and accessories will be shipped with tracking via courier or Australia Post. Other items including guitars and amplification equipment will be shipped using our courier service providers, with a tracking number and signature on delivery.
