Manuel Rodriguez T-65 Tradicion Classical Guitar

Available at Acoustic Centre Melbourne

The Manuel Rodriguez TRADICÍON T-65 classical guitar is a part of the TRADICÍON series, which seamlessly blends the classic features of classical guitar construction with a rich tradition that encompasses design, tone woods, and craftsmanship. Crafted by the second oldest guitar manufacturer in Spain, these instruments are a testament to the artistry that has been honed in Madrid since 1905.

Luthier Luluier Rodríguez III, who grew up in both California and Spain, brings a cosmopolitan perspective to his work. This influence is evident in his classical guitars, which beautifully marry the time-honored traditions of guitar making with a touch of modernity.

The TRADICÍON T-65 guitar is designed to provide exceptional playability and tonal quality. It comes in a 4/4 size suitable for players from approximately 14 years of age and adults. The guitar boasts a scale length of 650 mm and a nut width of 52 mm, ensuring comfortable and ergonomic playing for a wide range of players.

The instrument features a solid red cedar top paired with mahogany back and sides, a combination known for its warm and rich sound. The mahogany neck, complete with an Ovangkol fingerboard and bridge, ensures stable and resonant performance. The dovetail neck-body joint contributes to enhanced sustain and overall tonal excellence.

Additional features of the TRADICÍON T-65 include a mahogany headstock rest, Bonoid synthetic nut and bridge inlay, a traditional 6-hole bridge made of Ovangkol, and a factory-fitted GEWA armrest that adds to playing comfort. The guitar's design is accentuated by a wooden soundhole mosaic and maple body binding.

The T-65 model is equipped with Van Gent machine heads, expertly made in Holland, with a nickel-plated finish and black shafts and buttons. The guitar is strung with Hannabach 815HTC special set strings that feature CARBON trebles, providing a high tension and delivering superior performance. These strings are made in Germany.

The environmentally friendly approach continues with a water-based varnish open-pore satin finish, contributing to the guitar's aesthetics while also being kind to the environment. With a weight of approximately 1.5 kg, the TRADICÍON T-65 is a lightweight and comfortable instrument to play.

In summary, the Manuel Rodriguez TRADICÍON T-65 classical guitar embodies a harmonious blend of tradition, craftsmanship, and contemporary design. Handmade in Europe by skilled artisans, this guitar is an excellent choice for players seeking a classic instrument with a touch of modern sensibility.
