Best Guitars for Beginners

A good beginner guitar should be easy to play, stay in tune, and sound good enough to keep you motivated. Acoustic Centre has curated a range of acoustic, acoustic electric and classical guitars from Fender, Cort, Katoh, Alvarez, Gretsch and more, chosen specifically for their playability and value at this level.

Not sure whether to start on steel string or nylon, or which brand suits you? Our Melbourne guitar shop team is happy to talk through your options in person or over the phone, and can set your new guitar up before you take it home.
