Gypsy Jazz Guitars

Gypsy jazz guitars, also known as Selmer-Maccaferri style guitars, feature a distinctive D-hole or oval soundhole and a punchy, percussive tone built for the rhythmic "la pompe" strumming and fast single-note lines heard in Django Reinhardt-style playing. Acoustic Centre stocks gypsy jazz guitars from Altamira and Eastman, along with genre-specific strings, picks and cases from Wegen, Savarez and D'Addario.

If you're new to the style, our Melbourne guitar shop team can talk you through the specialist gear that sets gypsy jazz apart from standard acoustic setups.
