Salvador Castillo Flamenca Negra 'Canadian Cedar / Palo Escrita' Preowned 2006

Available at Acoustic Centre Melbourne

This Salvador Castillo Flamenco Negra guitar was meticulously handcrafted by one of Paracho, Mexico's rising luthier stars. Born in 1969 into a family of guitar makers, including his father, Ramiro Castillo Barajas, and in collaboration with Abel Garcia, Salvador Castillo is a true artisan. With a background in classical guitar and a recent immersion in flamenco, both as a builder and player, Salvador brings a wealth of expertise to his creations. As the winner of the CIDEG of Paracho Michoacan Mexico in 2001 and 2002, he boasts over 25 years of experience in the art of guitar making.

The Salvador Castillo Flamenca Negra, featuring a Canadian Cedar top and palo escrito (Mexican Rosewood) back and sides, stands as a testament to his dedication to excellence. With a scale length of 650mm, a nut width of 52mm, and a French Polish finish, it exemplifies Salvador's commitment to precision and quality. The Hauser-style tuners add to its allure, making it a remarkable creation proudly hailing from Mexico's rich guitar-making tradition.

This 2006-built guitar is in great condition for it's age, with light playwear and fingernail marks but no cracks or issues at all. It has a dry, resonant, and raspy punch in sound, accompanied by astounding projection that will enchant concert flamenco players. Crafted from the finest woods, Salvador Castillo's guitars are fashioned from a treasure trove of aged, old-growth woods, increasingly rare and challenging to procure. Includez original hardshell case.
