2023 marks the 30 year anniversary of Acoustic Centre, and to celebrate we have collaborated with some of our favourite builders to create a range of limited-edition versions of some of our favourite acoustic guitars of all time, arriving throughout 2023. It was only natural that our first collaboration should be with one of our favourite brands of all time: Taylor Guitars.

Among the most popular Taylor models available and one of our personal favourite acoustic guitars of all time, the Taylor 314ce is one of the all-time great Taylor models. A time-tested all-solid USA-made workhorse, it's balanced and rich tone and unparalleled playability has seen it in the hands of touring musicians and recording artists for decades, and the latest V-braced version is probably the greatest sounding iteration so far.

When it came time to tweak this great model for our own Special Edition, one tonewood instantly came to mind: Australian Blackwood. Blackwood is not only one of our favourite-souding timbers, with a lush, warm and forgiving tonality, but it's unique figuring and beauty is astonishing.

The Taylor 314ce AC-LTD Limited Edition features solid Blackwood back and sides, a solid Sitka spruce top, an all-gloss finish and stunning fretboard and headstock inlays for an exciting twist on the classic 314ce. The Grand Auditorium body shape produces a punchy, shimmering midrange, along with a warm, woody low-end character to balance the vibrant treble range. The V-Class bracing scheme adds a boost to power and sustain, and the always-comfortable Taylor neck makes for a smooth feel for any playing style.

For inlays, we chose Mother Of Pearl 'Century' inlays, and an understated but beautful 'Island Vine' headstock inlay. Usually only seen on Custom Editions, this beautiful detail adds a touch of elegance. Finished with a custom soundhole label and limited only 10 guitars worldwide, the 314ce AC-LTD is sure to become a collectors item in years to come, and will be just as at home onstage as in the recording studio. Complete with Taylor's lauded ES2 pickup system and a hardshell Taylor case, the AC-LTD 314ce is yet another example of Taylor's flawless craftsmanship and incredible tone. We couldn't be happier with our first anniversary collaboration
