The Cole Clark 'Angel' AN2EC RDBL Redwood / Blackwood is an exceptional acoustic-electric guitar from the Angel two series. This model features a 3-way pickup system, snowflake inlays, a Blackbean fingerboard, and solid Blackwood sides. What sets it apart is the Californian Redwood top, which is grown in Australia. With its stunning appearance and fantastic sound, this guitar is a true gem. It comes with a Cole Clark tweed case for added protection.

The AN2EC RDBL is a grand auditorium-sized guitar with an internally carved top and back, crafted from all solid timber. Its three-way pickup system offers versatile amplified sound options, allowing you to explore different tones for various playing styles and genres.

The guitar features a nitrocellulose finish in a natural satin sheen, allowing the tonewoods to resonate freely. The neck is made of Queensland Maple, providing stability and a comfortable playing experience.

The standout feature of this model is the Australian grown American Redwood top, which adds to its unique visual appeal and contributes to its fantastic sound. The solid Blackwood back and sides further enhance the guitar's tonal balance and projection.

In terms of aesthetics, the AN2EC RDBL boasts inlaid timber binding and a rosette, showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship of Cole Clark. The Blackbean/Blackwood bridge and fretboard add to the guitar's tonal characteristics, while the snowflake inlays on the fretboard add a touch of elegance.

The guitar is equipped with Grover machine heads for precise tuning, and the Graph Tech Tusq nut and saddle enhance sustain and tonal consistency. It comes strung with Phosphor Bronze strings in a 12-53 gauge. A pickguard is supplied in the case for optional installation.

With its superior craftsmanship, versatile electronics, and distinctive tonewoods, the Cole Clark 'Angel' AN2EC RDBL Redwood / Blackwood acoustic-electric guitar is an excellent choice for discerning musicians who seek a visually stunning instrument with exceptional sound quality.

Redwood varies from piece to piece so feel free to email us a request to receive images of the guitar that we currently have in stock.

All of our Cole Clarks have been PLEKed!

PLEK machines are built and sold by A+D Gitarrentechnologie of Berlin, Germany. The machines were developed by musician and guitar instructor Gerd Anke with his partner Michael Dubach, who called their company PLEKTRON when it was founded in 1990. The goal of the PLEK process they created is to guarantee the best possible string action for each instrument. Simply put, a guitar with optimized playability sounds better. The strings do not strike the frets during playing and any intonation problems that may occur due to too-low string action are eliminated. Similarly, action that’s too high is also a thing of the past with PLEKing.

The PLEKing process is done by CNC (computer numerical control) machines, which use microprocessors to perform their tasks. That doesn’t mean human craftspeople are excluded from this process. The PLEK machine is ultimately a tool to reduce variances between guitars, which allows Cole Clarks expert builders to do their jobs more efficiently.
