Ear Trumpet Labs create refined, handmade artisanal microphones one at a time in their Portland, Oregon workshop. As used by Elvis Costello, the Josephine is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone spring-suspended in a large, elegant copper ring. Tuned for live performance use, and ideal for micing small acoustic ensembles.
Josephine has the clarity, gain, feedback resistance, and full, natural frequency response to change the game when it comes to live single-mic situations. She has a pleasing high end with no harshness, and a sound that performers, audiences, and engineers all describe as astonishingly natural. She can also bring that winning sound into the studio, capturing vocals and acoustic instruments with straightforward clarity.

Occasionally due to issues with delivering to remote or unusual destinations, we aren't able to offer free postage. All strings and accessories will be shipped with tracking via courier or Australia Post. Other items including guitars and amplification equipment will be shipped using our courier service providers, with a tracking number and signature on delivery.
