Student Classical Guitars

Nylon string classical guitars are a popular first instrument, with softer strings that are gentler on new fingers and a wider neck that suits classical, fingerstyle and school music programs. This collection shows in-stock classical guitars under $1,000, from entry-level student models to solid-top guitars that will see a student well into intermediate playing.

Younger players may find a 1/2 or 3/4 size classical more comfortable when available. For steel string and electric options, see our beginner guitars under $600.
