The Martin 000-15SM offers an inspiring blend of vintage tone, minimalist style, and smooth playability in a small-bodied acoustic that’s built to perform. Crafted entirely from solid mahogany, this 12-fret model exudes warmth, depth, and old-school charm. Whether you’re a fingerstyle player, blues enthusiast, or singer-songwriter, the 000-15SM rewards your touch with rich sustain and intimate tone. The slotted headstock, wide 1.75" nut, and diamond inlays give this guitar a classic appeal that feels both familiar and distinctive.

Its 000-12 fret body design helps center the bridge on the soundboard, maximizing resonance and providing exceptional projection for its size. The satin finish and Modified Low Oval neck profile make it incredibly comfortable to play for long sessions. Handcrafted in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, the 000-15SM is a compelling alternative to spruce-topped acoustics, offering a darker, more complex tonal voice that matures beautifully with time.

    It’s a mahogany thing.

I already own the oo-15m and it’s such a little Beauty. Very happy to add another 15 series to my collection. These are quite simply the best value mahogany boxes you will find. They’re simple, understated but incredibly refined. Any 15 series will quickly become your favourite for the sound, and if you are like me, even the smell of that mahogany when you open the case will keep you coming back for more!

    Warm and toneful

I love my 000-15SM. The solid mahogany gives the guitar a warmer sound than spruce, maybe a little less top end but that doesn’t matter with finger picking. A very basic looking guitar in terms of no obvious frills, but lovely timbers and nickel machine heads look the part. Easy to play and comfortable on lap, this is a great all round guitar but you sometimes miss the higher frets. Overall a beautiful instrument.

    Red wine-no regrets

I played one of these at a friend's house while visiting home in Newfoundland. It was beautiful. I returned to Australia and couldn't forget about it. A couple months later I got drinking red wine and looking at reviews. They were all like this: adoring. I woke the next morning knowing what I had done but unsure of the details. Acoustic Centre laughed when I called them and assured me of the shipping details etc. it's a special little guitar. Beautiful, clear and rich sound for a smaller bodied guitar. Very playable! No. A delight to play. I'm not a great guitarist by any means. I own this and a cheap Korean brand classic guitar. This Martin is my prized possession. If there's a fire and I can grab one thing, it's this! Worth every cent.

    Beautiful looks, sound and playability

Perfect for finger style playing. This guitar has a traditional, woody tone that sings each note clearly and warmly when played. Combined with traditional Monal strings the Martin 00015sm has a sound that harks back to the Piedmont and Delta greats of the 1920s and 30s. The traditional open headstock and American mahogany body and neck ensures that every note is felt through the guitar when playing. Beautiful looks, sound and playability, this is one special guitar and well worth the money spent.

    astounding

Astounding was my first impression on playing this guitar. Warm, yet very clear and articulate. And being a 12 fret guitar, the bridge is in the tops sweet spot, giving the tone added depth and girth. It also responds incredibly well to a pick, and is surprisingly loud. Its a very comfortable guitar to play, and is, in my opinion, very good value.
