    Picky picky

These picks are high quality and hard, but to me seem pretty thin if you want to emulate Trey Hensley or Jake Workman and get some clang going with a beefy attack . Fantastic pickers like Steve Kauffman and (the late) Phil Emmanuel used thinner picks than this but for bluegrass a thickness somewhere between these ( a bit over one mm) and the thick Gypsy picks might work well. The Bluechip type picks are very pricey, especially if you lose a few picks along the way, and these Wegens are priced pretty well in comparison. So if you don't like thicker picks and are after nicely crafted quality at a value price these might fit the bill.

    Great customer service

Getting to the checkout was straightforward although i couldn’t find any indication or option for free shipping I was made to pay $12 express shipping expected in 1-5 working days that’s fair enough. It took 2 weeks and a few phone calls for the product to arrive. I then bought another product from the bass centre (and assuming they are the same companies or very close together) the product was over $50 and the option for standard Australia post and express shipping was in the checkout. So in my previous experience I opted for the free shipping. Low and behold 3 DAYS later the product arrived. The staff at the acoustic centre and the bass centre are really great and do a good job, I’m just not sold on Australia post . I’m definitely buying more gear from the acoustic centre and the Wegen bluegrass picks sound killer on guitar and bass guitar
