Fenech Traditional D78 'AAA Sitka Spruce / AAA Mahogany' Gloss finish Acoustic Electric Guitar

Available at Acoustic Centre Melbourne

Includes Hardshell Case

The Fenech Traditional D78 'AAA Sitka Spruce / AAA Mahogany' Acoustic Electric Guitar harks back to tradition while offering timeless tone and understated aesthetics.

In crafting this series, Fenech sought to enhance tone, playability, and aesthetics by modernizing the D-78 dreadnought body shape, advancing soundboard bracing techniques, and carefully selecting materials. A milestone achievement was being among the first in Australia to responsibly source genuine Mahogany (Swietenia Macrophylla) from sustainable resources. When combined with high-quality Sitka Spruce for the soundboard, Mahogany is renowned for imparting a guitar with rich low-end power, a velvety midrange, and sparkling trebles.

The D78 model, a member of the dreadnought family, is an excellent fit for musicians who prefer flat picking and strumming, making it suitable for both recording and live performances. Singer-songwriters seeking a fuller, more pronounced tone with enhanced note separation will find this guitar particularly appealing.

In terms of specifications, the D78 boasts an overall size of 397mm x 513mm, with dimensions including an upper bout of 293mm, a lower bout of 397mm, and a body depth of 100mm at the neck and 120mm elsewhere. The neck features a scale length of 25.34 inches, a fingerboard radius of 15 inches, 20 premium frets, and a nut width of 45mm. The nut and saddle are crafted from Tusq, and Gotoh tuners ensure precise tuning.

Included with this guitar is a Fenech A1G pickup, discreetly mounted in the soundhole, making it suitable for live performances. It also comes with a deluxe hard case to keep your instrument safe during transport and storage.
