The Gibson Southern Jumbo (SJ) Deluxe was a Norlin-era rebranding of the original Southern Jumbo, which technically ended production in 1969. It retained the square shoulders, with a solid Spruce top, Mahogany back/sides/neck and a Rosewood fingerboard with block inlays.  This 1970 or 1971-built model features the more sought after combination of bound freatboard with non-adjustable saddle, as well as a gorgeous Autumn Sunburst finish. It's in good condition with light playwear for it's age, and plays wonderfully with a great medium action. Unfortunately, the bridge is lightly sunken with a slight warp to the top. This currently has no effect on playability or setup, but it's worth mentioning. It appears to be all original, and has the classic fat, warm and woody tone that you'd expect from a vintage Gibson. Includes non-original hardshell case.

Occasionally due to issues with delivering to remote or unusual destinations, we aren't able to offer free postage. We reserve the right to retract the offer if freight costs exceed 15% of your purchase. We will always notify you if there is an issue and offer a full refund or arrange alternative delivery options.

All strings and accessories will be shipped with tracking via courier or Australia Post. Other items including guitars and amplification equipment will be shipped using our courier service providers, with a tracking number and signature on delivery.

The Acoustic Centre ships goods Australia-wide, however at this time we are unable to accept international orders.
