Guild Starfire I DC GVT Double Cut 'Pelham Blue' Electric Guitar

Guild's iconic electric guitar, the Starfire I DC GVT, is now accessible to a broader range of musicians. Building upon the double-cut body shape that made the Guild Starfire famous, the Starfire I DC boasts semi-hollow body construction with a mahogany center block, effectively reducing feedback and ensuring clear sustain. While preserving the airy and crisp tone characteristic of semi-hollow bodies, the  Starfire I DC features an elegantly arched maple top, back, and sides.

The guitar's 24 3/4” scale length and modern thin "U" neck profile offer a fast and smooth playing experience, complemented by the 18th fret neck-to-body joint, allowing easy access to the upper frets. Premium Guild Vintage 18 tuners with an 18:1 gear ratio and a Tune-o-matic bridge ensure that the strings are readily accessible and stay in tune. Guild's own HB-2 Alnico II humbuckers infuse the instrument with rich, vintage tone, and the push-pull coil-splitting feature enables the creation of vibrant single-coil tones from either pickup. All of these features come standard on the Starfire I platform. For those seeking something extra, the Starfire I DC GVT comes equipped with Guild's vibrato tailpiece, complete with a roller tension bar for added tonal versatility.

We endeavour to show the actual instrument in stock whenever possible, but the guitar in stock may differ slightly from the one shown on our website. Materials used can look different from guitar to guitar, including timber grain and colour, parts colours and finishing. If an instrument is a one-of-a-kind or preowned guitar, the picture will always be of the actual guitar in stock, but production models may have slight variations to the picture shown.

If you're after a particular look, feel free to email us at or send us a message through our chat service to request photos of the actual guitar in stock. We are more than happy to send through pictures of all in-stock guitars, to make your choice easier.

Please note that returns will not be accepted for variations in timber grain /  colouring, finish variations and parts colouring, unless there is a fault with the instrument. If you have any questions at all regarding an instrument's appearance, just drop us a line - we're always happy to send photos, and if we have more than one instrument in stock you'll be able to choose the exact guitar that you receive!
