    Great product, better service!

Purchased this to simplify my live rig. Used with a Cole Clark Angel 2, it's dead easy to get a brilliant sound at line level that I can just put straight into the PA. The notch filter is fantastic, doesn't seem to have any real effect on tone but sorts feedback out in seconds. Service from Acoustic Centre was mind boggling, ordered on a Monday morning, unboxed it Tuesday afternoon. In Tasmania. Five Star performance all around :)

    Perfect unit for acoustic gigs

I've used my LR Baggs Venue DI regularly at gigs for well over a year and I have never been disappointed. It has a robust, high-quality feel and works a charm. The features I like best: - the tuner is spot on and is large, bright and easy to see. - the boost switch provides an instant volume lift at the tap of a foot - the battery check indicator shows when it's about to run out of juice - the size is perfect for placing at your feet close to a microphone stand - the unit comes with a case to protect it during transportation

This works perfect for the banjo!!

I am a banjo player. When I started to play in the band with drums, I had to use pickup and DI or other preamps. For few years, I was never happy with what I could get. I really struggled to get the right sound, right volume. I almost thought of quite the band. It all changed after I started to use this preamp. Everything became suddenly so easy. The biggest advantage of this preamp to me is the notch filter system. It's so easy to get the feed back for the banjo because the drumhead can resonate anything. But using this system, you can reduce the feed back. Also, it's very easy to set the tone as you want to by using EQ. I can get the REAL banjo sound. The boost feature is very handy. Simply when you take a solo, you can be much louder, and you can control this boost level. The mute system is another very useful feature. When you mute, it automatically becomes tuning meter. So you can fix your tuning without distracting the others. As a whole, everything in this preamp is designed so well and works so good for my instruments. I strongly recommend this preamp to the banjo players.

    Great little unit

This little unit brought that final bit of professionalism that I was chasing for live gigs. Used both in a simple set up with acoustic and vocals, as well as part of a larger ensemble. In each different setting, the DI gave my Maton an appropriate presence. The boost function gave some versatility in dynamic at the click of a button - though the 'click' itself was a bit loud for my liking. Having all the EQ at my fingertips allowed a much better control over my own sound - without offending the sound tech. Baggs are an industry leader, and with this unit, it's easy to see them maintaining this mantle. [thumbs up emoji]

Really happy with the Venue DI

I've been really happy with the Baggs Venue DI so far after five gigs with it. Its got clever features and a detailed natural sound. The tonal options are comprehensive allowing you to sculpt the sound to suit the guitar and the gig although it took a bit of fiddling around with it to get comfortable. The notch filter is quick and effective at killing feedback without decimating the sound and the adjustable boost feature is handy for when you need to go to 11. The tuner takes a bit of getting used to but it works well and is easy to see. The tuner mute is pretty useful as well. On the back its got a direct out and an fx loop which seems to cover all the bases. The control layout is comfortable with no fiddly little pots or switches and easy to use on a dark stage. The construction is solid and its been reliable so far. It has a padded case to keep it looking beautiful too. Another feature i like is the battery life indicator so you can use batteries without fear of it dying mid song. Not having to use a power lead saves time and clutter on stage too. Pros: - lots of tonal control options - natural sound - solid, logical control layout - boost function - notch filter - battery life indicator Cons: - the tuner takes a bit of getting used to

    LR Baggs Venue DI

Have only used it once live so far and it appears to be an excellent unit. Using a Mini Maton with AP5 pickup it appears to have a LOT of gain with us having to drop the level on the PA considerably. There is plenty of scope for tweaking the sound but right out of the box and running the EQ pretty flat it sounded great. We bought it purely for the mute and boost functions and they work excellently although the switches do make a rather loud click during quiet sections however that isn't a problem for us. The boost is perfect for transitioning between lead and rhythm sections on the acoustic guitar and the mute means no need to turn down on the guitar preamp. Here is a video of it in use the other day (guitar on left of screen) https://www.youtube.com/watchv=zELEAnzxDMQandindex=2andlist=UUrKP9RIOHboit6yaleXMeBQ
