Here's something that you don't see every day - a Gibson SG Standard with Maestro Vibrola crafted in 1965. This guitar represents a true icon of guitar design and craftsmanship. Originally conceived to rival the Fender Stratocaster, the SG underwent significant modifications in the early 1960s, resulting in the birth of the SG model as we know it today.
This particular SG Standard is a true stunner, showcasing a beautifully preserved cherry finish on its mahogany body. While it bears some signs of wear and tear, including minor dings and lacquer crazing, the overall aesthetic remains captivating, with the grain of the mahogany elegantly showcased.
The neck of this SG boasts a comfortable profile, offering a playing experience that's instantly gratifying. Unlike earlier models, the neck on this guitar feels substantial yet agile, providing excellent playability for both rhythm and lead playing. Occasionally due to issues with delivering to remote or unusual destinations, we aren't able to offer free postage. All strings and accessories will be shipped with tracking via courier or Australia Post. Other items including guitars and amplification equipment will be shipped using our courier service providers, with a tracking number and signature on delivery.
