Taylor's Claria electronics system takes a ground-up approach to under-saddle pickup design, pairing a piezo transducer with a purpose-built preamp to eliminate the distortion and unwanted frequencies common to standard under-saddle setups. Soundhole-mounted Volume, Tone, and Mid-Contour controls allow quick tone shaping on the fly, and the system requires minimal tweaking to sound natural and accurate through a PA. The Action Control neck joint allows string height to be adjusted with a single bolt, making setup and long-term maintenance straightforward, while the long-tenon joint adds stiffness and depth to the low end.
