The Maton 80th Anniversary CW808 brings the spirit of the iconic CW80 into Maton’s much-loved 808 body shape for the first time ever. Released to celebrate Maton’s 80th year of guitar making, this limited production model captures the warmth and reliability of the original CW80 while delivering the comfort, balance, and versatility that the 808 body has become famous for among modern players.
Featuring a AAA spruce soundboard paired with Fijian mahogany back and sides, the CW808 produces a clear, balanced voice with warm midrange and excellent responsiveness for both fingerstyle and strumming. Premium appointments such as rock maple binding, herringbone rosette, and a rosewood headstock veneer with vintage Maton decal honour the heritage of the original CW80 design. With the addition of the AP5 Pro pickup system for exceptional amplified tone, the 80th Anniversary CW808 offers players a modern interpretation of a classic Australian acoustic.
