Our latest masterpiece from Allan Bull is this wonderful Concert model, with a flawless Blonde Cedar top and wonderfully grained Black-Heart Sassafras back-and-sides.
The lightweight soundboard with asymmetrical grid bracing delivers responsiveness and evenness of support across the guitar's range with high structural integrity. The back and sides are reinforced and the back is arched and braceless. The guitar is fitted with a soundport which gives the player a more complete idea of the forward sound of the guitar somewhat like a small foldback speaker.
The slim neck is profiled for ease of playing and the shaft is supported by a neck block/cradle which extends to the first transverse brace to ensure neck joint rigidity. The fretboard is elevated above the soundboard to provide improved access to the frets beyond the body join. The length of each string is individually compensated at both nut and saddle to ensure accurate intonation on all strings at all points of the scale. The armrest removes the damping effect of the forearm on the soundboard and aids player comfort.
