Altamira L'Orfeo Cedar / Madagascar Rosewood Classical Guitar

The Altamira L'Orfeo is a premium concert-grade classical guitar built for advanced and professional musicians who demand the finest tonal response, material quality, and long-term acoustic development from their instrument. Named after the Claudio Monteverdi opera widely regarded as one of the earliest masterpieces of Western music, the L'Orfeo brings together a solid cedar top with solid Madagascar rosewood back and sides, a tonewood combination of exceptional rarity and tonal distinction. Madagascar rosewood is one of the most sought-after tonewoods in classical lutherie, producing a rich, complex, and harmonically dense voice with powerful projection and a unique tonal character that sits apart from both Indian and Brazilian rosewood in its warmth, depth, and natural brilliance.

The solid cedar top opens up immediately under the player's hands, delivering the warm, responsive, and harmonically rich voice that cedar is celebrated for among concert players, with the additional promise that as the guitar ages and the solid top continues to vibrate and develop, the tonal quality will only deepen and improve over time. Spanish cedar neck with carbon fibre rod reinforcement provides exceptional long-term stability, while the ebony fingerboard, gloss finish, and included 50% carbon fibre case complete a specification worthy of the concert stage. Ideal for advanced students, conservatorium players, and professional concert guitarists who want an instrument of genuine concert pedigree with rare Madagascar rosewood construction.
