The Cole Clark AN2EC American Redwood and Blackwood is a genuinely distinctive and tonally exceptional instrument that combines an Australian-grown solid American Redwood top with solid AA-grade Australian Blackwood back and sides in Cole Clark’s Angel Grand Auditorium cutaway body - a tonewood pairing of rare character that produces a warm, sweet, and naturally resonant acoustic voice unlike anything built from more common materials. Australian-grown American Redwood is an extraordinary top wood choice - softer and more immediately responsive than spruce or cedar, with a natural warmth and harmonic sweetness that opens up quickly and rewards expressive, nuanced playing with an organic depth and intimacy that harder-topped alternatives cannot replicate. Australian Blackwood back and sides - a close cousin of Hawaiian Koa - contribute the warm, complex, and naturally shimmering midrange character that makes Blackwood one of the most rewarding and tonally distinctive back and sides tonewoods in the world.

Cole Clark’s internally carved top and back allow both tonewoods to resonate with maximum acoustic freedom, while the Spanish heel integral neck construction - unique among mainstream acoustic guitar makers - joins the neck to the face, sides, and back as a single continuous unit for superior vibration transfer and the characteristically open, resonant acoustic voice that defines Cole Clark’s finest instruments. The PG3 True Acoustic pickup system combines undersaddle piezo, face sensor, and internal microphone for the most natural and transparent acoustic-electric amplification available on any production instrument. Indian rosewood fingerboard and bridge, inlaid timber binding, purfling, and rosette, abalone dot inlays, Grover machine heads, Graph Tech TUSQ nut and saddle, and natural satin nitrocellulose finish complete a beautifully considered specification. Supplied in Cole Clark’s iconic tweed hardcase with pickguard. Ideal for fingerstyle players, singer-songwriters, and anyone who wants a warm, sweet, and naturally responsive all-Australian acoustic-electric with a tonewood combination that stands entirely apart.
