The Furch Blue Master’s Choice Gc-TW is the flagship instrument of the Blue Series - a Grand Auditorium cutaway that brings together Furch’s most advanced tonal, ergonomic, and stage performance features in the Black Walnut tonewood format that defines the Blue Series’ distinctive acoustic character. Black walnut is a tonewood of compelling and genuinely individual tonal personality - warmer and more focused than rosewood, with a clear, present midrange and controlled bass that produces an articulate, dynamically responsive acoustic voice with excellent note definition across the entire register. In combination with an individually voiced AA torrefied Sitka spruce top, the result is a clear, dynamic, and musically versatile instrument that rewards every nuance of playing technique.

The open-pore finish throughout - top, back and sides, neck, and headstock - is the defining visual and tactile character of the Blue Master’s Choice, and the one that most immediately distinguishes it from its Green and Red counterparts. The open-pore treatment allows the tonewoods to resonate with absolute maximum freedom, and the natural, tactile surface of the wood underfoot and under the playing arm is an experience that gloss and satin finishes simply cannot replicate. Black binding, black Bevel Duo with 3D-printed precision at forearm and rib, black pickguard with transparent extension toward the soundhole, double-ring rosette with walnut inlay, ebony fingerboard with white pearl dot inlays and Master’s Choice designation at the 19th fret, white pearl linear side position markers, ebony headstock overlay, ebony bridge and pins, Booster Soundport, CNR System Active neck joint, LR Baggs HiFi bridge-plate dual sensor electronics, and Furch Chrome machine heads at 1:18 gear ratio complete a specification of thoroughly considered tonal and aesthetic coherence.

Features

  • Individually voiced AA torrefied Sitka spruce top with solid black walnut back and sides delivers a clear, focused, and articulate acoustic voice with warm midrange character, controlled bass, and excellent note definition - black walnut’s distinctive tonal personality offering a genuinely individual alternative to rosewood or mahogany.
  • Open-pore finish throughout - top, back and sides, neck, and headstock - allows all tonewoods to resonate with absolute maximum freedom while delivering the natural, tactile surface character that distinguishes the Blue Series from any gloss or satin finished alternative.
  • Booster Soundport reduces internal air pressure to allow the top to move more freely for stronger, fuller projection, while directing sound toward the player for an immersive and accurate monitoring experience on stage.
  • Black Bevel Duo manufactured with 3D printing precision - forearm bevel at front, rib bevel at rear - provides meaningful ergonomic improvement for extended playing sessions, with the all-black aesthetic complementing the Blue Master’s Choice’s dark, cohesive visual identity.
  • LR Baggs HiFi bridge-plate dual sensor system provides natural, clear, and feedback-resistant amplified acoustic tone, while CNR System Active neck joint automatically adjusts to humidity changes for consistent long-term playability.
