Without proper humidity control, wooden instruments will not perform at their best and can even be damaged. To hold their shape, wooden instruments need to be stored at a stable 45-55% relative humidity, since wide fluctuations cause the wood to expand or shrink, putting stress on the instrument and degrading its performance. Boveda's patented 2-way humidity control adds or removes moisture as conditions require to maintain that ideal level inside the instrument case.

Boveda helps prevent warping or cracking and needs zero maintenance, keeping fretted, bowed, and woodwind instruments protected without adding water or monitoring levels. This is a replacement Boveda pack, ideal for topping up Boveda fabric holders once the original packets are spent.
