The Taylor C17e C0029 is a genuinely extraordinary NAMM 2026 Custom Gold Label instrument - a deep-body Grand Pacific round-shoulder dreadnought that combines top-shelf tonewoods, a heritage-inspired appointment scheme of remarkable beauty, and Taylor's most advanced acoustic engineering in a guitar that is as visually arresting as it is tonally exceptional. Lutz spruce - a natural hybrid of white and Sitka spruce found in Alaska and northwestern Canada, prized for its combination of stiffness, low density, and tonal complexity - is paired with AA-grade Indian rosewood back and sides to produce a voice of extraordinary character: clear, crisp trebles with complex harmonic overtones and a dynamic range that stays articulate from the lightest fingertip touch to the most aggressive flatpicking attack.

The Grand Pacific body with increased depth at the soundhole adds warmth, low-end expansiveness, and a powerful, resonant heritage-inspired acoustic presence, while fanned V-Class bracing applied with traditional hot hide glue and Taylor's Action Control Neck with long-tenon joint ensure the instrument performs with consistency, sustain, and tonal balance across the full fretboard. The Honey Sunburst top glows with a warmth that is perfectly matched to the figured koa binding, back strip, and soundhole binding - a tonewood pairing of extraordinary visual coherence - while the "Dove on a Branch" peghead inlay rendered in paua, mother of pearl, and Hawaiian koa, paua rosette with black/white purfling, green abalone 5-dot fretboard inlays, and Gotoh 510 Antique Gold tuners complete an aesthetic vision that is entirely one of a kind. The LR Baggs HiFi bridge-plate dual sensor pickup system captures the guitar's natural sonic texture with exceptional transparency and fidelity.
