Shubb C1B Brass Steel String Capo

Available at Acoustic Centre Melbourne

The Shubb C1B Brass Capo is a timeless favorite among professional guitarists, trusted for its precise, no-fuss performance since 1980. Its patented over-center locking mechanism offers fast and secure one-handed operation, locking firmly in place with just a flick of the lever. Crafted from solid brass, this capo brings an elegant, vintage aesthetic while delivering rock-solid tuning stability.

What sets the Shubb capo apart is its soft rubber sleeve, designed to mimic the touch of a human fingertip. This ensures your strings aren’t bent out of tune when clamped, eliminating the need for retuning after placement. With a design that mirrors the grip of your fretting hand, the C1B provides consistent pressure across all strings without pulling them sideways.

  • Patented over-center locking action for fast, secure use

  • Custom rubber sleeve eliminates tuning issues

  • Solid brass construction for vintage look and durability

  • Mimics fretting hand for balanced string pressure

  • Fits most steel-string acoustic and electric guitars

  • Model: C1B

  • Material: Solid brass

  • Finish: Polished

  • Compatibility: Steel-string acoustic and electric guitars

  • Mechanism: Over-center locking

  • Padding: Custom rubber sleeve designed for minimal string displacement

Shubb C18 Brass Steel String Capo: its a beautiful thing!

The Shubb C18 Capo is a wonder of economy, efficiency, ergonomics and engineering. Minimalist design, perfect pressure control and uber cool brass finish guarantee that the Shubb is not simply an essential musical accessory but rather a gallery-quality exemplar of post-modern-form-meets-function sculpture. Audiences will be left agog, not by your music, but by the mesmeric qualities of the Shubb. The Acoustic Centre was responsible for selling, packaging and sending the Shubb which it did with great despatch, updated tracking information and ever-present professionalism. And here’s the thing: even if you don’t own a guitar get a Shubb capo — smooth, sleek and stunning, it’s the closest you’ll ever get to the feeling Adam got when Eve passed him that apple.
