The Cole Clark CCAN2EC brings together two of the finest tonewoods available in a hand selected pairing, with an AA grade Himalayan Cedar top and AA grade Honduran Mahogany back and sides that deliver a warm, complex voice with plenty of headroom. The internally carved top and back are a Cole Clark signature, thinning the timber in precise areas to open up resonance and projection without sacrificing structural strength, so this Grand Auditorium cutaway has the volume and dynamic range to hold its own on stage or shine in a quiet room.

Himalayan Cedar is a true cedar, not to be confused with the Western Red Cedar commonly used in guitar tops, and it is one of the rarest timbers in use by Cole Clark. The wood requires close to a decade of natural drying before it is stable enough to use, and only extremely limited quantities make it through this process each year, making a top built from this timber a genuine rarity. The result is a tone that is rich and complex with excellent projection, offering something distinct from the more common cedar and spruce options on the market.

Every detail on this guitar has been chosen for tone and playability in equal measure. The nitrocellulose satin finish lets the timber breathe and age gracefully over time, while the Cole Clark PG3 True Acoustic pickup system captures the natural character of the instrument for a faithful plugged in sound. Graph Tech Tusq nut and saddle, a rosewood bridge and fretboard with abalone dot inlays, and Grover machine heads round out a build that is as considered as it is beautiful, and it comes home in a Cole Clark tweed hardcase with a matching pickguard included.
