Yamaha CG142S Spruce Classical Guitar

Available at Acoustic Centre Melbourne

The Yamaha CG142S Spruce Classical Guitar delivers refined tone and exceptional playability in an affordable package. Featuring a solid Engelmann spruce top, this model offers dynamic tonal response and clarity well beyond its price point. Whether you're a beginner or an advancing classical guitarist, the CG142S provides a warm, articulate sound with rich projection and resonance.

Designed with Yamaha’s decades of craftsmanship, the CG142S includes nato back and sides, a nato neck, and a rosewood fingerboard and bridge—materials chosen for their tonal quality and structural integrity. The gloss finish not only enhances the guitar’s aesthetics but also helps preserve the wood. Chrome tuners offer reliable tuning stability and a classic appearance, making this an excellent choice for students and hobbyists alike.

The CG142S blends traditional classical guitar design with improved playability and a beautiful high-gloss finish. It's a step above typical entry-level models, giving players a solid top and responsive tone without compromising on comfort or craftsmanship. Whether you're practicing at home, performing, or taking lessons, the Yamaha CG142S is built to inspire and grow with you.

Materials used can look different from guitar to guitar, including timber grain and colour, parts colours and finishing. If an instrument is a one-of-a-kind or preowned guitar, the picture will always be of the actual guitar in stock, but production models may have slight variations to the picture shown.

If you're after a particular look, feel free to email us at info@acousticcentre.com.au or send us a message through our chat service to request photos of the actual guitar in stock. We are more than happy to send through pictures of all in-stock guitars, to make your choice easier.

Please note that returns will not be accepted for variations in timber grain /  colouring, finish variations and parts colouring, unless there is a fault with the instrument. If you have any questions at all regarding an instrument's appearance, just drop us a line - we're always happy to send photos, and if we have more than one instrument in stock you'll be able to choose the exact guitar that you receive!
