The Cole Clark FL2EC American Redwood and Blackwood is one of the most tonally distinctive and visually compelling instruments in the Cole Clark range - a genuinely unusual and exceptional tonewood pairing that combines an Australian-grown AA-grade American Redwood top with AA-grade Australian Blackwood back and sides in Cole Clark's beloved Fat Lady dreadnought cutaway body. Australian-grown American Redwood is an extraordinary and rare tonewood choice - redwood's characteristic warmth, immediate response, and rich harmonic content producing a tonal voice that is softer and more intimately resonant than spruce, with a natural sweetness and depth that suits fingerstyle, singer-songwriter, and expressive acoustic playing with exceptional grace. Paired with Australian Blackwood's warm, complex, and naturally shimmering midrange character, the result is an acoustic voice of genuine tonal sophistication and beauty.

Cole Clark's internally carved top and back allow both tonewoods to resonate with maximum freedom, while the Spanish heel integral neck construction - unique among mainstream acoustic guitar makers - joins the neck to the body as a single continuous unit for superior vibration transfer and the distinctively open, resonant acoustic voice that defines Cole Clark's finest instruments. Note that Cole Clark specifically recommend this model is not used for percussive playing - the American Redwood top's softness and responsiveness that makes it so tonally rewarding also makes it more susceptible to impact damage than harder-topped alternatives. The PG3 True Acoustic pickup system, She Oak fingerboard and bridge, abalone dot inlays, inlaid timber binding, purfling and rosette, Grover machine heads, and natural satin nitrocellulose finish complete an instrument of genuine distinction. Supplied in Cole Clark's iconic tweed hardcase. Ideal for fingerstyle players, singer-songwriters, and players who want a uniquely warm and responsive all-Australian acoustic-electric.
