The Cole Clark TL2EC is part of the True Hybrid range, built for the modern touring musician who wants a genuine acoustic voice and a genuine electric voice from one instrument with no compromise on either. A thinline Grand Auditorium body with F.E.A (Finite Element Analysis) internal bracing houses the Cole Clark PG3 acoustic pickup system alongside a second, independent output driven by Cole Clark True Balance magnetic pickups in a humbucker and two single-coil (HSS) configuration. A mini three-way toggle switches between Acoustic, Both and Electric, with two separate outputs so the acoustic signal (which carries its own battery assembly) and the magnetic pickups can be routed exactly as the player needs.

All-solid AA grade Australian Blackwood forms the top, back and sides, finished in natural satin nitrocellulose, with a Queensland Maple neck and an Indian Rosewood bridge and fingerboard carrying abalone dot inlays across 21 frets. Cole Clark's patent-pending True Balance technology individually tunes each magnetic pole piece to compensate for the nickel core of phosphor bronze strings, solving the volume imbalance that affects most hybrid acoustic-electrics.
