The Collings 470 JL Julian Lage Signature is a bold reimagining of the hollow-body electric guitar, developed in close collaboration with jazz virtuoso Julian Lage. Its fully hollow mahogany body with trestle block bracing, topped with laminated maple, delivers a dynamic and nuanced tone suited to players who demand responsiveness and clarity from every note.

Built to Julian's exacting preferences, the 470 JL features a shorter 24 7/8 inch scale and a comfortable 12 inch radius ebony fretboard with pearl dot inlays, all wrapped in a lightweight build that encourages fluidity and feel. A pair of Ron Ellis Ellisonic pickups, custom-voiced with DiMarzio 500K pots and Jupiter Vintage Yellow capacitors, run through a refined signal path, while the Bigsby B3 vibrato and relic nickel Waverly tuners complete an instrument ideal for serious players seeking a genuine signature voice on stage or in the studio.
