The Collings CJ MH Custom 'Jet Black Top / Doghair Finish' is a visually arresting and sonically powerful slope-shoulder dreadnought, inspired by the iconic pre-war J-45. Built in the Collings Jumbo body style, this one-off custom features a high-gloss jet black Sitka spruce top paired with Honduran mahogany back and sides in Collings’ renowned Doghair finish—an elegant trans-grey lacquer that highlights the grain with black filler for a stunning visual effect.

Beyond its show-stopping looks, this guitar delivers outstanding tonal character. Expect deep, resonant lows, articulate highs, and exceptional clarity across the spectrum. The CJ MH responds beautifully to both gentle fingerpicking and aggressive strumming, offering rich harmonic content and excellent projection. With its flawless craftsmanship and heirloom-worthy design, this Collings Custom is a rare and exceptional instrument for discerning players and collectors alike.
