The Collings CW Indian A - the Winfield - is named after the beloved Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas, and represents the definitive Collings response to what flatpicking specialists and bluegrass players have always asked for in a dreadnought. Every design decision on this guitar is oriented toward one goal: maximum headroom, projection, and tonal authority for aggressive playing, while preserving the signature Collings clarity and responsiveness that distinguishes their instruments from every other dreadnought on the market. The Adirondack spruce top and bracing, enlarged soundhole, and pre-war scalloped X-brace pattern without soundboard graft combine to produce a guitar that is genuinely, unapologetically built for players who need to cut through in a bluegrass band context - loud, clear, and with seemingly bottomless dynamic headroom.

East Indian rosewood back and sides contribute the rich, complex tonal depth and strong projection that rosewood brings to a dreadnought format, while the ivoroid body binding with herringbone purfling, ivoroid fingerboard binding, zipper backstrip, Dalmatian pickguard, clean ebony fingerboard with no inlays, square peghead with volute, ebony peghead veneer with MOP Collings logo, and Nickel Waverly tuners deliver the instantly recognisable aesthetic that sets the CW apart from any other dreadnought in the Collings lineup. The modified V neck profile with 1-23/32" nut width, compound 14-26" fingerboard radius, and mortise and tenon hybrid neck joint complete an instrument built to be played hard for decades. Ideal for flatpickers, bluegrass players, and any player who wants a purpose-built acoustic powerhouse from one of America's finest guitar workshops.
